Just Babbling

“Leap and the net will appear.” – Zen Saying

Back to work, and i’m already behind on things to do for the week.  Yikes.   Of course, i spent the weekend sending Sir C my smutty thoughts, and that was, as Mick implied, pretty much a full-time job.   It was a nice weekend

But i’ll need to get to work early, maybe all week long, so if i owe you an e-mail, if i’m behind on blog reading, or don’t have interesting posts, that’s why.

And really, i don’t have anything else to say this morning.  i’m drawn to Sir C, but then moths and flames have an attraction too, and i’m not looking to fling myself into the fire.   i am holding the tension ~~

~~ the tension of desire and wanting him

     ~~~ the excitement of the things he says, the sexual tension
                  ~~~~ and caution.

i know.  That’s exactly where i need to be.  i can’t fast forward to the end of the story.  And that’s just as well too, cause you know i would.  And then i’d want to tweak it.  Skip the boring parts.  Skim over the sad parts.  And if we could all do that, well, it would just be a mess.  Nobody would be on the same time.

Ok, i’m just babbling now anyow.   Here’s another quote on risk ~

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

But to counterbalance that:

“Caution is the eldest child of wisdom.”  ~~Victor Hugo

    It may not surprise you that the Twain quote is one of my favorites.

    It’s tricky at once being smart and throwing caution to the wind. When you figure out the magic formula, let us know;)

    Have fun!:)

      @K – Thanks! You’re right, real tricky, and when i get that magic formula ~ you’ll be the first to know!

    I would love to be one of the people who wouldn’t skip to the end – or be tempted to tweak the story if I did – but i know i’m not. We’re finding the balance between caution and adventure our whole life long, aren’t we. Enjoy the adventure.

      @Gg, Thanks, you’re so right. It’s another “forever seeking balance” thing isn’t it? aisha

    I have a fridge magnet that says “Leap and the net will appear!” To me, it’s one of the basic tenets of D/s (and of life). You have to trust and make the leap to make it work.

      @Sin – Yes, I think you’re probably right. aisha
