The Munch and Zombies

2 Jul

After a tough day getting our nails done and taking a nap, Sfp and i headed out for the munch last night.  Due to issues with the fire marshal, we can’t use our fabulous new venue these days, so we were back in our old digs, a private area of a family restaurant.

Really, Sfp’s account of the evening will be more interesting than mine, since she brings fresh eyes to it.  But it was fun being there with her, and nice to see a bunch of people i know.

Bob showed up toward the end, and that was particularly nice, even if it’s just a wee bit awkward for me, knowing this product review is coming up with him next weekend.  He purposely played on that – saying something about coming for the last of it to meet Sfp, adding that he “already know aisha, but” and he looks meaningfully at me,  “but not as well as i’m going too.”

And laughing when i blushed.

There wasn’t a play party after the munch, but there was an event that Mr. Michael and some of the other folks were going to.  Sfp and i decided to go to.

We found it, with a little bit of “help” from Sfp’s GPS ~ only it wasn’t dreadfully helpful since the directions it gave were only right about half the time.  Really.  i pretty much knew where i was going, so i knew when it was sending me wrong, and was able to navigate the trip (laughing…maybe 5 miles) successfully.

It was a Zombie festival, with music and art and all kinds of other stuff.  i’d heard of them, but really ~ i had no idea what it would be like.

Imagine a bunch of people in the usual fet-wear ~ corsets, short skirts, high heels ~ throw in a fuzzy with an adorable rabbit tail ~ and add a bunch of the walking dead, complete with the most extreme gore.  Loud head-banging music {which i didn’t mind as much as you might think.  i love percussion.}  And booths with jewelry and art and much more.

i felt very boring in my jeans and top.  There were plenty of other people equally un-dressed-up ~ i figured we were just future zombie victims… {laughing}

We didn’t stay very long, but it was definitely interesting.  Like kinksters on parade – and dead.

These people weren’t there, but they would have felt right at home.

Going to a zombie fest wasn’t actually on my bucket list, but if it had been?  Check.  Done.

i did buy a bumper sticker – it says:

“It’s only kinky the first time you do it.”

Not that i’m going to put it on my car ~ don’t ask me what i’m going to do with it.  But i’m sure the “Pagan Community Ministries” will make good use of my dollar donation!

That sounds like a great time!

The bumper sticker is right! Bill would proudly put it on his pick-up, right next to the one already there that says “Hike Naked, It Brings Color To Your Cheeks”. lol

Laughing… That’s a great bumper sticker, Donna. Now I know where I can send my inappropriate ones. Sometimes I buy them and remember later that I can’t actually use it.

Hey, i’m late to the (zombie) party…great post, and i’m glad you two are having a ton of fun. Did ya’ll go to the craft store? or fabric?

You know how i get around fabric, right? Let’s just say i once called Master from one, as i was petting the organza….and he *ordered* me to get the hell out of there before i had an orgasm by the quilting fabric…*laughs*…that’s a great memory, actually.

    So. Um. Zombies, eh?

not a zombie fan, i gotta say. Does that make me a wimp? I don’t like vampires, either.

    what a dull dishrag, eh?

    HUGs to you both….

      Hey, ‘Nilla,

Wish you were here too – can’t wait til you are!

It was a fabric store – a little bitty one,and I walk by it often and just glance at it, but Sfp wanted to look – they have quilts hanging up all around, so we went in and some of them were just amazingly beautiful. So I thought of you – we’ll go too for sure.

And we won’t do any Zombie stuff!!

      Hugs back to you,
