Amazing Orgasm

10 Dec

Yesterday’s post generated wonderful comments ~ if you haven’t read them, it’s worth going back for.  i started a couple of follow-up posts this morning, but they weren’t flowing, and i’m running out of time.

So i thought i’d share this video i stumbled over on Facebook.   i confess i have a little trouble wrapping my mind around the idea, but here it is:

i also confess i didn’t watch all of it, just enough to get the general idea.  If you watch it all and i really missed something, let me know, ok?

But i wonder ~ where was this concept back when i was pregnant?   Orgasms during labor would have been fine with me.

i shared it with my daughter, hoping she could make it work, but she’s thinking it can’t happen in a hospital birth.  i suspect she’s right.

i am fascinated by it.  And i wonder ~ does this connect to kink?  Is this really about experiencing pain as pleasure?  We all know that can happen, right?

So i guess this is possible.  And not as weird as it might seem.  Well, not any weirder than kink is.  Or than we are.  Which is not at all, right?

Um, ok then, maybe a little bit weird.  But whatever…  i still think it’s a fabulous, fascinating idea.

AND Sir and i have a date tonight.  We’re going to see a burlesque show ~ after some private play time which He’s promised will leave me with my ass tingling.

Mmmmmm…. i can’t wait.  And THAT’S not weird either, is it?

didn’t have time to see the video…but i did watch a thing on tv this summer (quite by accident…hit the wrong channel and was instantly hooked)

about a woman who had an orgasm during labor/delivery. She used a birthcoach and had a water birth…and was shocked when she had the O…

so yes, perhaps (o gods parden the unintended pun) this is the birth of kink…a deepseated understanding, biologically that pain and pleasure can be shared.

      Laughing… yep. Exactly.

My daughter did the water birth thing. Which is why Mick is not going to watch the video.

      Probably a wise choice!

Our first son was a water birth…Yea, orgasm is a million miles away from how I would describe it lol. And I admit, I didn’t watch the video. I don’t equate childbirth with any kind of pleasure. But I do equate it with the deepest possible sub space.
ttwd wasn’t part of our relationship when the first kiddo was born, though it was with the second. And it did make things somehow…Better. For the first 33 hours anyways lol.

Here I go…Wandering around blogland making nonsensical comments before coffee. I should really know better lol.

Omigosh, i love your pre-coffee comments ~ please don’t stop!!!

i had mine in a birthing center, but wasn’t brave enough to even consider water. i’m glad that’s not all that stood between me and the big O. lol

It would be interesting to do some research on whether being involved in TTWD generally makes a difference in the childbirth experience, wouldn’t it? There’s a dissertation topic for someone. 🙂
