In the Land of Vanilla

22 Jun

In the land of Vanilla, there are new babies, with their soft, sweet scents and coos.  Babies who cuddle into you happily, at peace with the world.

In the land of Vanilla, there are mantle clocks and toasters, two sets of everything, and a man who slides into bed bone tired from packing and cleaning.   There is coffee together in the morning, sweet kisses, soft caresses.

In the land of Vanilla, the clock is ticking relentlessly.  Moving Day is Saturday.  Tomorrow.  Last day in my current job is next Friday.  We won’t talk about moving day for my daughter, her partner, and sweet baby girl, which is heading down on us like a runaway train.

In the land of Vanilla, there are lots of joys and pleasures, planning and dreaming, warmth and tenderness.

i am not complaining.

In the land of Vanilla ~

there are no whips or floggers.  No canes.  No spankings.  No nipple clamps or pinching hands.

No sinking deep into the sensations of sub-space.  No slipping away from the mundane realities, pleasant though they may be.

Sigh…

i am a greedy slut.

So many changes…so much turmoil (which is both happy and sad…) …those currents are strong and pulling you every which way…joy and sadness…the challenge of cohabiting, and the thrilling ecstasy of it as well. Breathe. You are living in a tumultuous time…and I am not surprised to see you surfing on the edge of the wave!

as for being a greedy slut?

oh yeah. I so get that.

Sounds like you are craving a return to being centered in a difficult time full of so many highs and lows at the same time. Not greedy. Normal. 🙂 As you know, even joyful things are highly stressful. You fell in love with the baby at first sight, yes? And detaching from your own baby too? Yep. Sounds like anyone would need the cane. Soon.

And now, i am picturing your kitchen with two toasters sitting side-by-side. Does that mean you can blame the man for clutter now? 😀

Last night mouse melted down from being happy…Essentially that’s what happened. It seems odd how emotions can do that. It started out feeling greedy and oh so empowered and ended up so very different. So guess Aisha in a weird way mouse completely understands…

    Sending many hugs,

Guess Vanilla Land isn’t such a bad place to be some of the time

Vanilla Land can be grand. But sometimes we need that darker side of reality so that we can appreciate or escape from the vanilla side of life. I see Vanilla and TTWD as a yin yang, for deep inside each part is a small reminder of the other side.

Glad you are enjoying the sweet smell of babies, trying to figure out where to put all the duplicates and lots of love and hugs to deal with the train rushing your direction.

    Hugs!
