Questions for Dominants

2 Oct

Thanks for all the good wishes yesterday, i am better today, so YAY!

Here are some of Sir’s answers to Ms Constance’s questions for Doms.  Along with my commentary, of course.

What is the single quality a dominant most needs to possess?

Self-control.  {He and i totally agree on this one.  And He has so much of it ~ it’s one of the things i love most about Him.  i can watch Him take a step back and think something over, it’s so cool.  And of course, it really helps Him control me.}

What is the single quality that is the most detrimental for a dominant?

Lack of empathy or lack of patience.  {Of course, He needs to be able to be in touch with what i’m feeling.  i think that maybe some Doms are not so empathic, but He is.  Sometimes, He’ll say, “Well, I’m not very empathetic,” and then goes on to say something that reflects exactly what i’m feeling.  It cracks me up.

Also, He thinks that submission has its own timeline that neither He nor i really controls.  i’m fascinated by that idea.  i think He’s right, i think i know what He means.  As if submission grows inside of me in ways that neither of us can quite predict.  Sometimes there will be a huge growth spurt for no apparent reason.  Other times, i’m just muddling through. }

Looking back, what are the first dominant tendencies you can recognize in yourself?

Pirate movies thrilled me at a young age, the vulnerable female captured and tied.  {Sweet, huh?  That’s my guy.}

But honestly, i am still fretting a little about the hubbub over on Sin’s blog.  i loved Sfp’s post here, and am just contemplating all kinds of things.

There’s so much drama triangle involved, and i’m trying to figure out what i need to do to get off the triangle.  Maybe i need to just quit talking about it, but i think i have things left to say.

i’ve started about three different posts on what i’m thinking, but none of them are right.  i’ll keep working on it.

    I seem to be missing out on all the hubbub, so I will speak to the rest of this post.

    Yes, yes, yes and yes. All great answers and exactly the reasons I love my man. You seem to also have a good one there.

    Great answers. Although I think for DH the most important thing is confidence. Confidence in himself, his ability.

      Hi, Julia,

      Thanks for reading, and for taking the time to comment!

      Yes, confidence is big. Sir actually brings that up in another answer, which i’ll get to later. Your DH is right, for sure.

      Nice to meet you – see you around, i hope!

    Omega certainly would agree that submission doesn’t have a timeline. He doesn’t believe it’s a destination either it’s, to him, more of a journey but with the right person. He said once that with wrong person, the only moves are lateral ones.

    Funny but mouse still ponders that…

    Might make a good blog post….oh ya mouse isn’t blogging anymore…Ha!

      Hi, Mouse,

      Gosh, that would make a lovely blog post, wouldn’t it???? Hmmmm, it’s sure too bad you’re not blogging anymore…. just saying.

      It is a journey, isn’t it? And it grows and deepens in its own space and time. Omega is wise too.

    Nodding along with the rest of the crowd. Wolf has been looking at the questions, but he hasn’t had time. We’ve had our oldest daughter visiting.
